Starting school is a big milestone, and at Eschol Park Public School we want our newest students and their families to feel excited, comfortable and ready for the journey ahead.

Our Kindergarten Orientation sessions give children the opportunity to visit their new school, meet their teachers, explore their learning spaces and begin getting to know other children who will be starting Kindergarten with them.

It is also a wonderful opportunity for families to meet our staff, ask questions and become familiar with our school community before the first day of Kindergarten.

We are excited to welcome preschool to Eschol Park Public School, creating a new opportunity for young children and their families to become part of our school community from an early age.

Our preschool will provide a welcoming environment where children can learn, play, explore and build confidence as they take their first steps towards starting school. Families will have opportunities to connect with our educators, become familiar with the school environment and build relationships within our community.

We look forward to welcoming our first preschool children and families and beginning this exciting new chapter at Eschol Park Public School.

At Eschol Park Public School, we provide opportunities for students to develop their swimming skills, confidence and water safety awareness.

Our Swim Scheme gives students the opportunity to build and improve their swimming and water safety skills in a supportive environment.

Our annual Swimming Carnival is open to competitive swimmers, providing students with the opportunity to compete in swimming events and proudly represent our school.

Our whole-school Cross Country is a wonderful opportunity for students across Eschol Park Public School to get active, challenge themselves and enjoy running through our school grounds. With our fantastic sporting fields just a short walk from the school, we are fortunate to be able to hold our Cross Country event right here at school.

Our Years 3–6 students also have the opportunity to participate in the Athletics Carnival, taking part in a range of events, developing their skills and striving for their personal best while proudly representing their school and house.

Our K–2 Sports Fun Days also help introduce our younger students to athletics-style events and prepare them for the opportunities ahead.

Our K–2 Sports Fun Days are a wonderful opportunity for our youngest students to get active, have fun and have a go at a range of sporting activities in a supportive and encouraging environment.

With our sporting fields right beside the school, students can take part in a variety of track-style events and activities, developing their running, jumping, coordination and fundamental movement skills.

Families are invited to come along and cheer on their children as they participate, try their best and celebrate their achievements with their classmates. These days also help build the skills, confidence and enthusiasm our students need as they progress into Years 3–6 athletics carnivals held at the track.

It’s a fun and active day that encourages participation, confidence and a love of sport.

Education Week is a wonderful opportunity for our Eschol Park Public School families to come into the school and experience learning alongside their children. Families are invited to visit our classrooms, see students engaged in their learning and take a closer look at the wonderful work happening across the school.

It’s a chance for parents and carers to celebrate their children’s achievements, see their learning in action and connect with teachers and our wider school community.

We love opening our classrooms and sharing the learning, creativity and achievements of our students with the families who support them every day.

Choosing a school is an important decision for families, and we invite prospective families to come and experience Eschol Park Public School for themselves.

Our school tours provide an opportunity to explore our classrooms, learning spaces and facilities and see our school community in action. Families can discover the learning programs, opportunities and experiences available to our students and ask questions along the way.

At Eschol Park Public School, we come together as a school community to recognise ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day through whole-school assemblies and meaningful classroom activities. Our families are invited to join us as we pause to remember and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served.

Our commemorations include facing the flags, playing The Last Post and sharing a minute of silence. In classrooms, students take part in age-appropriate learning activities that help them understand the significance of these important days and the tradition of remembrance.

These occasions provide an opportunity for our students, staff and families to come together with respect and gratitude.

At Eschol Park Public School, Harmony Day and Book Week are wonderful opportunities for our students to celebrate diversity, creativity and a love of learning. Our Book Week celebrations are always a highlight, with our students and staff getting into the spirit of the day through our much-loved Book Parade.

From creative costumes and classroom activities to celebrating stories, cultures and the things that make each of us unique, these special events bring our school community together. They encourage students to use their imagination, discover new stories and celebrate the diversity and creativity within our school.

At Eschol Park Public School, learning extends well beyond the classroom. Our students enjoy a range of excursions, incursions and hands-on experiences that bring their learning to life.

From watching ducklings and chickens hatch through our annual incubator experience, proudly supported by our P&C, to exploring the animals at Sydney Zoo, heading off on camp and taking part in visiting programs, workshops and special experiences, our students have many opportunities to learn, discover and experience new things.

These experiences help students make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them, while building confidence, independence and creating memories that last long after the experience is over.

At Eschol Park Public School, students have opportunities throughout the year to celebrate and share their talents through a range of school events and activities. This may include traditional Aboriginal dance and other cultural performances, as well as opportunities for students to take part in special celebrations across the school year.

We are also excited to introduce a Christmas concert as part of our end-of-year celebrations, creating another opportunity for our students and families to come together, celebrate the year and enjoy the talents and creativity of our students.

At Eschol Park Public School, we love bringing our students, families and wider community together throughout the year. From family BBQs and open picnics on the playground to special school events and community activities, there are plenty of opportunities for families to come together and enjoy being part of school life.

Many of our events also provide parents and carers with the opportunity to pop into their child’s classroom, see their work and celebrate their learning. These moments help families connect with their children’s school experience, build relationships with other families and staff, and feel part of our welcoming school community.

At Eschol Park Public School, our award assemblies are an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the achievements, effort and positive contributions of our students. From classroom awards recognising everyday effort and achievement, through to major awards and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) awards, we celebrate students who demonstrate growth, leadership, commitment and our school values.

These special moments bring our school community together to celebrate our students, recognise their achievements and encourage them to feel proud of all they accomplish.

At Eschol Park Public School, we love celebrating the special moments and milestones that make each stage of a student’s school journey memorable. From celebrating 100 Days of Kindergarten to Kindergarten and Year 6 graduations, school events and other special occasions, our students have plenty of opportunities to celebrate their achievements with their friends, teachers and families.

These celebrations recognise the growth, learning and achievements of our students while creating special memories and strengthening our sense of community. Every milestone is an opportunity to celebrate how far our students have come and look forward to what comes next.
